Colourful Cuts & Magical Mediums

So the weekend of Colourful Cuts & Magical Mediums went by in a flash! Our lovely delegates received a kit brimming with Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart products and lots of Shimmerz mediums.

It was lovely to share the weekend with such a fun and inspiring group of girls…

I designed and taught three classes over the weekend which included perforated files, cut files and oddles of meduims (and hand sewing for those that wished to add those extra touches!)…

I can't wait to get our next GoGo Dayaway organised for Ipswich and hope to see some of you there.

Stick it Down

Excited to be able to share my news with you all at last… I have been invited to join the Stick it Down Design Team! These lovely bunch of ladies design sketches for single pages, double pages and cards each month and also create fabulous examples to showcase them.

Whilst I don't start my postition with them until next month I did play along with June's pretty sketch by Laura.

I decided to flip the sketch round as I wanted to make my cut title the feature of the page rather than use lots of patterned paper. Crate Paper Oasis was ideal for this page which has photos of my granddaughter with Pua from the Disney film Moana.

Laying up the photos on pieces of patterned paper and raising up with 3D foam pads created the perfect spot for those lush palm leaves.

I do hope you will join me and the lovely team at Stick it Down and have a go at some of the sketches.

Castle Love

I simply loved creating this layout. Ok, yes it took AGES to sew around the princess castle cut file but well worth the effort I think. The background star paper is from November 2016 Hip Kit, I adore it so much I was reluctant to actually use it, especially as it is one of their exclusives. But hey life is too short to just store that pretty paper!

The clusters were made by fussy cutting some Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams papers and adding some of the decorative chipboard pieces.

The addition of border punched pieces cut from white cardstock added that extra layer with a delicate touch.

This layout will be taking pride of place in my granddaugthers Disneyland Paris album soon. I think I have been bitten by the large cut file element and looking for the next one that will make a pretty layout fit for a princess.

Thank you for visiting xxx

I have finally got round to recreating my personal scrapbooking blog and what better way to launch this than sharing my Be Inspired sketch challenge over at GoGo Getaway.

It was great to get these photos onto one layout as it shows the sequence of shots that I took during our Disneyland Paris trip in November 2017 when my grandaughter met Pua the pig from Moana. The papers and embellishments were from a recent Hip Kit Club kit.

Do pop over to the GoGo Getaway Facebook page to enter this fab challenge with a chance to win a place on a GoGo Getaway worth £380!

Thanks for joining me,

Lorraine xxx
